Spending three years at IISM was a journey of growth, faith, and learning. The school’s Islamic values shaped my character, while the supportive teachers helped me overcome challenges, especially as I learned English for the first time. More than just academics, IISM encouraged teamwork, leadership, and discipline through programs like Sports Week, International Day, and Ibadah Camp. What I really liked the most about the school is the religious nature that plants the Islamic values and teachings in the younger generations so that when they graduate, they bloom well wherever life takes them afterwards. The friendships, experiences, and lessons I gained at IISM will always stay with me, making it more than just a school—it was truly a home.

Though my time at IIS was short, it shaped my motivation, career path, and lifelong friendships. The dedicated teachers played a huge role, especially Mrs. Hijjah, whose Biology lessons and advice—"No Pressure, No Diamond!"—stayed with me. Being surrounded by a diverse group of friends broadened my perspective and helped me become a global citizen. This experience gave me the confidence to explore new opportunities in the UK and France, but the camaraderie I built at IIS remains unmatched.

Studying at IISM from 2007 to 2016 was a journey that helped me grow academically and personally. The blend of international curriculum and Islamic values shaped me into a better person, offering a unique global environment with students and teachers from all over the world. At IISM, learning wasn’t just about books—we were actively involved in co-curricular activities. Two of my most unforgettable moments were International Day, which immersed us in different cultures, and Sports Day, where we learned teamwork and sportsmanship. I truly miss my days at IISM and strongly believe it will soon achieve its vision of becoming the leading International Islamic School in Southeast Asia by 2025.

Eight years have passed, but my IIS journey feels like yesterday. I walked into 8 Al-Farabi in my mismatched outfit, met curious classmates, and unknowingly stepped into some of the most unforgettable years of my life. Academics were competitive yet supportive, with teachers who were more than just educators—they were mentors for life. They didn’t just teach from books; they shared life lessons, personal experiences, and guidance beyond the classroom. With small class sizes, we had one-on-one attention, making learning even more meaningful. But what truly made IIS special were the friendships—bonds that still hold strong today. Looking back, IIS shaped me not just as a student, but as a person, leaving me forever grateful for the family I found there.

From a shy, introverted child, I grew into a confident individual, thanks to the constant support of teachers who not only guided my education but also encouraged me in sports, social activities, and competitions. With students from 47 different countries, IISM provided a multicultural environment where we learned about different cultures, eliminated barriers like racism and class privilege, and built lifelong friendships. The teachers were the foundation of this supportive environment, pushing us to excel in academics, sports, and life itself. The experiences and memories I made at IISM will stay with me forever.

At IISM, teachers went beyond just teaching—they were always supportive, patient, and willing to give extra time whenever we needed help. Their balance of discipline and fun made learning enjoyable, and I never hesitated to ask for guidance. More than academics, IISM was a wholesome experience. Whether it was staying back for extra tuition, competing in sports, or even playing against our teachers, the memories remain unforgettable. Looking back, IISM prepared me for challenges, fostered growth, and made high school an experience to cherish forever.

IISM gave me the chance to explore, grow, and thrive. I joined the debate team with no experience, but with my team’s support, we competed nationally and placed in the top 30. This boosted my public speaking skills, which later helped me in university and my career. Beyond academics, sporting events brought the whole school together in friendly competition and teamwork. Even when challenges came, IISM provided a strong support system—from study groups to dedicated teachers who were always there to help. Looking back, IISM shaped me into who I am today by giving me the confidence and opportunities to learn, compete, and succeed. Thank you IISM!
